    Der renommierte Fachkongress bringt Expert:innen und Fachleute aus Industrie und Planung zusammen, um aktuelle Entwicklungen rund um Kreislaufwirtschaft, Greenfieldplanung, künstliche Intelligenz in der Fabrikplanung sowie die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der europäischen Industrie zu diskutieren

    Im Rahmen seines Vortrags wird unser Büroleiter Nico Santuario das Projekt Weleda Cradle Campus vorstellen – ein Leuchtturmprojekt für nachhaltige und zirkuläre Industriearchitektur. Dabei zeigt er, wie durch ganzheitliche Planungsansätze, regenerative Materialien und innovative Fabrikstrukturen eine zukunftsfähige Produktionsumgebung entstehen kann, die ökologische Verantwortung und wirtschaftliche Effizienz vereint.

    From a record number of global submissions, our project was chosen as one of the winners — a true honor at the world’s most prestigious architecture awards.
    The ceremony in Athens was an inspiring gathering of visionaries, and we’re grateful to stand among such outstanding international projects.

    Winner – The International Architecture Award® 2025 | Categorie: Industrial

    The Weleda Cradle Campus was awarded the International Architecture Award® 2025 in the Industrial category .

    The International Architectural Awards , now in their 20th year, are the oldest and most prestigious global architectural awards program. They honor outstanding, new, and innovative designs worldwide and have set standards in the international architecture and design scene for two decades.

    In 2025, the hosting museum received a record number of project submissions in the fields of new construction, landscape architecture, and urban planning from leading international firms around the world. From a shortlist of over 500 projects, an international jury consisting of several renowned designers selected nearly 190 winning projects—including the Weleda Cradle Campus .

    A lighthouse project for sustainable construction

    The Weleda Cradle Campus uniquely embodies the combination of ecological responsibility, innovative design , and a holistic corporate culture . The architectural concept follows the principles of Cradle-to-Cradle® design – an approach that views buildings as material banks designed to be fully recyclable and pollutant-free.

    The architectural highlights include:

    • Material health & recyclability : All building materials used are demountable, recyclable and harmless to health.
    • Energy efficiency & climate protection : The campus building is designed for minimal energy consumption and uses renewable energy sources.
    • Biophilic design & well-being : Daylight, natural materials and greenery create a working environment that focuses on employee well-being.
    • Integration into the landscape : The architecture is sensitively integrated into the surrounding nature and respects the existing landscape.

    The Weleda Cradle Campus is a pioneering example of sustainable, responsible construction in an industrial context .

    Architekturtag auf dem Weleda Cradle Campus – Ein Tag der Inspiration und des Austauschs

    Am 17.07.2025 fand auf dem Weleda Cradle Campus ein besonderer Architekturtag statt, der zahlreiche Fachbesucher, Planerinnen, Bauherren und Architekturinteressierte zusammenbrachte. Im Mittelpunkt stand das zukunftsweisende Konzept des Cradle-to-Cradle®-Designs, das der Weleda Campus auf beeindruckende Weise architektonisch umsetzt.

    Die Veranstaltung bot ein vielfältiges Programm aus Führungen, Vorträgen und Dialogformaten. Architekten, Projektverantwortliche und Nachhaltigkeitsexperten gaben exklusive Einblicke in Planung, Umsetzung und Nutzung des Campus, der als eines der ersten industriellen Gebäude Europas nach dem Cradle-to-Cradle®-Prinzip errichtet wurde.

    Ein besonderes Highlight war die Ansprache von Herrn Thomas Jorberg, Verwaltungsratsvorsitzender der Weleda AG, der in seiner Rede die Bedeutung nachhaltiger Unternehmensverantwortung und die Rolle des Cradle Campus als gelebtes Beispiel für eine ganzheitlich gedachte Zukunft betonte. „Der Cradle Campus ist Ausdruck unserer tiefen Überzeugung, dass Ökologie, Wirtschaftlichkeit und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung sich nicht ausschließen – sondern im besten Fall gegenseitig stärken“, so Jorberg.

    Neben fachlichem Austausch stand auch das Erleben des Ortes im Fokus – mit offenen Gesprächen, nachhaltiger Kulinarik und einem lebendigen Miteinander auf dem weitläufigen Campusgelände.

    Hintergrund
    Der Weleda Cradle Campus wurde in Zusammenarbeit der MICHELGROUP mit Transsolar Energietechnik entwickelt und 2024 fertiggestellt. Das Gebäude vereint modernste ökologische Bauweise mit funktionaler Arbeitsarchitektur und gilt als Leuchtturmprojekt für nachhaltiges Bauen im Unternehmenskontext.

    DAM Preis 2026 - NOMINIERT

    Wir freuen uns sehr über die Nominierung unseres Projekts „Weleda Cradle Campus“ für den renommierten DAM Preis 2026 für Architektur in Deutschland.

    Seit 2007 werden jährlich vom Deutschen Architekturmuseum (DAM) herausragende Bauten mit dem DAM Preis für Architektur in Deutschland nominiert. Die Nominierung würdigt 100 herausragende Gebäude und Ensembles aus denen von der Expertenjury eine Shortlist mit 25 Bauten ausgewählt wird.

    Wir sind stolz, mit dem Weleda Cradle Campus Teil dieser besonderen Auswahl zu sein, und blicken gespannt auf die Entscheidung der Jury.
