In recent years, the former Meiller factory premises had been repurposed into the Meiller Gardens, a new residential area with over 400 apartments. In further expansion of this quartier, Michelgroup is providing Planning and Architecture for the Redevelopment (including Historical Preservation) of the former administration building of the workshop site into a mixed-use building that will house a community and cultural center, restaurant, and offices.
The Rathgeber Villa is a historically registered monument, which requires careful planning.The Rathgeber Villa is a historically registered monument, which requires careful planning. The new uses are seamlessly integrated into the historical preserved areas. The "Pavillon" extension has a bold, modern architectural language. The visual harmony between the historical preserved and modern places is created through proportion and materiality.
